The place is really pleasant and as described. At the heart of the old city, in a typical building, the authentic irregular stairs are charming but can be challenging, though only for 2 floors. It was a canicule time, and the AC + sturdy double windows were life saver. The location is unbeatable! The hosts were very promptly responding. I would come back for sure!

Claudia's apartment during the hottest 2 weeks in Aix-en-Provence was perfect. The air conditioning worked extremely well! Also the bed was comfortable. Claudia was very responsive. I enjoyed my stay.

This was the perfect location, steps away from the old town square and the markets on the square were wonderful. Close to all great cafes, restaurants and stores. The apt was fine, it was relatively quiet at night given the location and certainly met the needs of what I was looking for. The challenge I had was getting in initially, I did not know that the I had to walk to the lockbox to get the keys and I had all my stuff with me, so moving over the cobblestones was not pleasant. The front door has a very old latchkey that I had difficulty working at first, but got better at it. Finally, I had to reach out to Claudia about what floor she was on, it was not clear with the instructions. She was great at getting back with me so all was fine.

This is a nice studio in a truly great location in the center of the city. The apartment is well equipped, Claudia is a perfect host, I would definitely recommend this place. At night it often seems to be quite noisy outside. This could perhaps be a problem for some.

This apartment is perfectly located, right in the center of old Aix. The bed is small but comfortable, and the twin bed is also fine: if you like a top sheet we found the tablecloth useful. The air conditioning is a real blessing on hot days, especially after climbing the old winding steps to the 2nd floor! The skeleton keys were a bit tricky to figure out at first, but also kind of fun to master. The shower is very tiny but it works fine. There’s no hair dryer so bring your own! We loved the quirky set of “Encyclopédie Planete” books on the bookshelves and had a lot of laughs reading to each other from them. It was also nice to walk in to a complementary bottle of Provençal rosé. :) We never met Claudia, our host, but she did check in from time to time to make sure everything was ok. All in all, we enjoyed our stay!

It was a beautiful apartment that worked perfectly for a week long stay. There wasn’t a dedicated place to dry clothing or laundry and some utensils in the kitchen were dirty, but otherwise it was a very pleasant stay in a perfect location and Claudia was very helpful and kind.

Had a great stay here. The flat is really comfortable and well located. It can be a bit tricky bringing heavy luggage up and down the stairs but that is the only negative in what was a highly enjoyable experience.

Claudia’s apartment is perfectly located in Aix. You can walk to all the major tourist attractions and there plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby. The only concern is the stairs up to the 3rd floor (2nd floor in France). If you’re perfectly ambulatory, there is no problem. However older visitors might have a problem with the narrow spiral stone staircase especially if you have heavy luggage. Other than that, it’s a very nice rental in a great part of town
